The Hydrofly has got to be one of the best Remote Control Toys around! It's a car, plane and boat - all in one! Fantastic fun and at a great price!

Available from: Prezzybox – Hydrofly – Price: £69.00

There been some fantastic new toys and gadgets out this year, and the Hydrofly has got to be one of the best! (Although calling it a toy really doesn’t do it justice!) It should definately be Number One on your Christmas List!

The Hydrofly is a multi purpose vehicle, combining a Radio Controlled Car, Boat and Plane all in one! Not only that it’s at a great price, as you would think this multi action vehicle would cost a small fortune!

On hard surfaces you can drive it round like a Car, and then plough it straight into the water where it functions as a Remote Control Boat. At the touch of a button it can take off from both land AND water, and then fly through the air as a Plane – What more could you want! When you’ve finished flying, it can land back on solid ground or water.

With incredible acceleration, it’s extremely fast and can travel at speeds up to 50 mph with amazing maneuverability! The Hydrofly is extremely versatile, and can cope with a number of different terrains including grass, sand, tarmac, water and even snow! Made from Polynyolene it’s extremely tough, and has a high impact wing structure for extra durability!

As well as coming fully assembled, it comes with its own toolkit and a DC quick charger, and has an extremely fast charge time of just 20 minutes! It can even be charged through your cars cigarette lighter, perfect for when you’re out and about! You also get your own free flying lesson consultation over the phone to help you learn how to fly the Hydrofly, for those who haven’t flown radio controlled planes before.

The controller operates on 3 channels, and has a long range of 1000 feet! Because of the speed of the Hydrofly it should only be used outside, as it needs a good amount of space to drive / float / fly around in to really do it justice!

To see the Megatech Hydrofly in action, have a look at the video below, courtesy of Prezzybox. If that doesn’t convince you to buy the Hydrofly, nothing will! The Hydrofly is definately a must have, so make sure it’s at the top of your Christmas / Birthday / Anniversary etc list!

The Flytech Dragonfly is great fun. A first, as the dragonfly flys purely by flapping its wings, like a real insect! Make the remote Control Dragonfly swoop, soar and glide, and then make a precision landing.

Available from: I Want One of Those - Remote Control Dragonfly – Price: £24.99

The Flytech Dragonfly is predicted by the Toy Retailers Association to be one of this Christmas’s top toys, and it’s not hard to see why!

The Remote Control Dragonfly can be flown inside and out, and flaps like a real insect. Although its extremely light weight for easy flying, its carbon fibre structure is extremely durable and with flexible wings is able to stand up to all the bumps and crashes!

The RC Dragonfly even comes with two modes, Beginner and Professional, to help you get the best out of the DragonFly and make flying easy, whatever your experience with Radio Controlled flying. The Remote Control Dragonfly comes comes with a 2 channel controller, so you can fly the Dragonfly left, right, up and down. It also has different frequency modes, so you can have more than one dragonfly flying about at the same time. The dragon fly is powered from a base unit, which requires 6 AA batteries, so you can charge it up for a flight where ever you are!

The RC Dragonfly is extremely unusual, as it mimics the way real insects fly, flapping its wings and can take off from any smooth surface, and is able to soar, dive bomb, and glide silently for soft landings. Able to manoeuvre in tight spaces, it can be flown indoors quite happily, flying and soaring round the room. With glowing LED eyes that act as status indicators for the DragonFly.

In scientific terms, the Flytech Dragonfly is one of the worlds first commerical radio controlled Ornithopter! This basically means that it flys by flapping its wings, rather than through the use of propellors.

The video below is the Showreel for the Flytech Radio Control Dragonfly from its manufacturer Wow wee (who also created the RoboSapien), and pretty impressive it is too! Receiving rave reviews in a number of publications, the Remote Control Dragonfly is a lot of fun, and is sure to be a huge hit not just this Christmas, but all year round!
